*This is 1991, right? Recession, war on Iraq, lower markets, low employment, low job creation, weak dollar, a "president" who is out of touch-- "It's the economy stupid" --with the people, lies and rumors being touted by politicians and the press as truth, government actions causing mass protests in the streets.

Fact
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Bob Graham, D-Fla., said the CIA has not provided information on Iraq sought by his panel, impeding Congress' ability to assess the need for military action.
Congressional leaders accused the administration of not providing the information out of fear of revealing divisions among the State Department, C.I.A., Pentagon and other agencies over the Bush administration's Iraq strategy.
Just last week, lawyers for the General Accounting Office and Vice President Dick Cheney argued in federal court over whether the White House must turn over confidential information on the energy policy task force that Mr. Cheney headed last year.
The C.I.A,'s rejection of the Congressional request, which some lawmakers contend was heavily influenced by the White House, comes as relations... have soured over the ongoing investigation... into the missed signals before the Sept. 11 attacks.

In Portland, first-time protesters joined veteran pacifists for the march. They chanted, banged on drums and clapped their hands.
"My co-workers were talking to me about this and it is something I believe in," said Cris Jackson, an office manager who has never attended a rally before. "Maybe it will spread awareness that not all of America is behind Bush."

Job creation has reversed. In 2000, the year before President Bush took office, the economy created 1.7 million new jobs. This trend has been reversed, and the economy has lost almost 1.5 million jobs since President Bush took office in January 2001.
